BORDETELLA PARAPERTUSSIS IgA, IgG

The Bordetella parapertussis IgA, IgG test is used to detect antibodies against the Bordetella parapertussis bacterium, one of the causes of whooping cough or similar respiratory diseases. IgA antibodies indicate a current or ongoing infection, as they appear in the early stages of the immune response. IgG antibodies indicate a past infection or immune memory following contact with this bacterium. This test is used for diagnosing acute or past infections and differentiating them from infections caused by the related Bordetella pertussis bacterium. It is suitable for individuals with prolonged cough or when assessing immune status is necessary.
