Product detailed description
Anti-Borrelia Antibodies – MBA (a-Borrelia MBA)
A blood test used to detect antibodies against Borrelia bacteria, the causative agents of Lyme disease. The MBA (Microblot Array) method enables detailed evaluation of the antibody response to selected Borrelia antigens and is used as a supplementary or confirmatory test when Lyme disease is suspected. Results should always be interpreted in conjunction with clinical symptoms, medical history, and other laboratory findings.
IgG – Antibodies that usually indicate a past infection or long-term exposure to Borrelia bacteria. They may remain detectable in the blood for months or years after infection and represent evidence of an established immune response.
IgM – Antibodies typically produced during the earlier stages of infection. Their presence may indicate a recent or currently active infection. Results should be interpreted together with clinical symptoms and other laboratory findings.
