Product detailed description
Anti-Candida albicans Antibodies
A blood test used to detect antibodies against Candida albicans, a yeast that is a normal part of the human microbiota but can cause infections of the mucous membranes, skin, or other organs under certain conditions. The test helps assess the body's immune response to this yeast and may be used as part of the evaluation of candidiasis. Results should always be interpreted in conjunction with clinical symptoms and other laboratory findings.
IgA – Antibodies primarily associated with the mucosal immune response. They may be present during an active or recent Candida albicans infection affecting mucosal surfaces.
IgG – Antibodies indicating past or long-term exposure to Candida albicans. They may remain detectable in the blood for an extended period.
IgM – Antibodies typically produced during the early stages of infection. Their presence may suggest a recent or currently active Candida albicans infection.
