Product detailed description
Anti-Myelin Antibodies (a-Myelin IF)
A blood test used to detect antibodies against myelin using the indirect immunofluorescence (IF) method. Myelin is a protective sheath that surrounds nerve fibers and is essential for the proper transmission of nerve signals. The presence of anti-myelin antibodies may be associated with certain autoimmune disorders of the nervous system and demyelinating processes.
This test is used as a supplementary diagnostic tool in the evaluation of neurological symptoms such as sensory disturbances, muscle weakness, tingling, or other signs of nervous system involvement. Results should always be interpreted in conjunction with the patient's clinical condition and other diagnostic findings.
