Gonorrhea + chlamydia PCR

This PCR test allows for the rapid and accurate detection of Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, which cause chlamydia and gonorrhea.

Sample collection options:

  • Urine sample – The sample is collected from urine only; no urethral swab is required.
  • Rectal swab
  • Throat swab
  • Combined sample – urine + rectal/throat swab – A combination of a urine sample and either a rectal or throat swab.
  • Combined sample – rectal + throat swabs – A combination of a rectal swab and a throat swab.
  • Combined sample – urine + rectal + throat swabs – A combination of a urine sample, a rectal swab, and a throat swab.
    For combined samples, it is not possible to determine the site of infection if the result is positive. However, this does not affect the recommended treatment.
