Product detailed description
Special test for individuals with a history of syphilis – verification of infection reactivation.
This examination is intended for individuals who have previously had syphilis and want to verify whether the infection has returned (reactivated).
After successful treatment of syphilis, antibodies usually remain in the body permanently – which means that standard tests may continue to show positive results even years later, without indicating an active infection.
This specialized confirmatory test helps distinguish whether the detected antibodies are simply remnants of a past infection or whether the syphilis has reactivated.
The blood sample is processed by the National Reference Laboratory for Syphilis.
The test is suitable if:
- you have previously had and been treated for syphilis and want to verify whether your results are still within normal limits,
- you repeatedly receive positive syphilis test results and it is necessary to determine their actual significance,
- you have developed new symptoms and need to rule out a possible reactivation of the infection.
