Product detailed description
Anti-Adenovirus Antibodies
A blood test used to detect antibodies against adenoviruses, which are common causes of respiratory, eye, gastrointestinal, and other infections. Measuring these antibodies helps determine whether the body has been exposed to an adenoviral infection in the past, whether an active infection is currently present, or whether there has been a recent exposure to the virus. Results should always be interpreted in conjunction with clinical symptoms and, when appropriate, other laboratory findings.
IgA – These antibodies are primarily associated with the mucosal immune response and may be present during an active or recently resolved infection. The test can help assess the current activity of the immune system against adenoviruses.
IgG – The presence of these antibodies usually indicates a past infection or previous exposure to adenoviruses. IgG antibodies can persist in the body for a long time and represent evidence of an established immune response.
IgM – These antibodies are typically produced during the early stages of infection, and their presence may indicate a recent or acute adenoviral infection. Results should be interpreted together with clinical symptoms and, if necessary, other laboratory findings.
