Anti-Endothelial Cell Antibodies (a-Endothelium IF)
A blood test used to detect antibodies directed against endothelial cells (the cells lining blood vessels) using the indirect immunofluorescence (IF) method. The presence of these antibodies may be associated with certain autoimmune and systemic diseases affecting blood vessels and connective tissue. This test is used as a supplementary laboratory investigation when an autoimmune process is suspected. The results should always be interpreted in the context of the patient's clinical condition and other laboratory findings.
