Product detailed description

Antiphospholipid Antibodies – Screening (APA Screen)

A blood test used to detect antiphospholipid antibodies, which are associated with antiphospholipid syndrome and other autoimmune disorders. The presence of these antibodies may be linked to an increased tendency for blood clot formation, recurrent thrombosis, or certain pregnancy-related complications. The test serves as a screening tool when antiphospholipid syndrome is suspected, and results should always be interpreted in conjunction with the patient's clinical condition and other laboratory findings.

IgG – IgG antibodies are among the most important markers of antiphospholipid syndrome. Their presence may be associated with an increased risk of thrombotic complications and is typically evaluated together with other antiphospholipid antibodies.

IgM – IgM antibodies may be present in antiphospholipid syndrome as well as in other autoimmune disorders. Their measurement complements the diagnostic evaluation and helps provide a more comprehensive assessment of the risk associated with antiphospholipid antibodies.
