Product detailed description
Testing for anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies (aTG) in both IgA and IgG classes is a blood test used for the diagnosis of celiac disease. These antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to gluten in individuals with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder affecting the small intestine. Elevated levels of aTG IgA and/or IgG antibodies may indicate the presence or activity of celiac disease. This test is considered one of the most reliable methods for detecting celiac disease and helps monitor the body’s immune response to gluten.
