Product detailed description
The thrombin time (TT) test evaluates the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin by the action of thrombin—the final step in the blood clotting process. It is used to detect abnormalities in this conversion, such as suspected hypofibrinogenemia, dysfibrinogenemia, or the presence of clotting inhibitors (e.g., heparin). TT helps clarify the cause of prolonged clotting time in cases where other tests have not provided a clear diagnosis.
